At Village Care Communities, our mission is to create a safe, nurturing, and clinically supported environment where children with autism and developmental needs can grow, learn, and thrive while families receive the compassion, support, and community they deserve. Our goal is to not only care for children, but to build a village of understanding, inclusion, healing, and lifelong support for families navigating special needs care.

Village Care Communities provides an integrated therapeutic childcare program designed to support children with autism and developmental needs through structured care, behavioral support, and individualized programming under one roof. Our model combines compassionate care with evidence-based therapeutic services to create a supportive, enriching, and family centered experience for every child.

We understand that every child and every family has different needs. That is why we offer flexible support options designed to meet families where they are. Whether families need full-day programming, after-school support, therapeutic services, or a combination of care options, Village Care Communities is here to provide compassionate, accessible, and meaningful support.

Through our integrated therapy model and partnerships with licensed providers, children may receive ABA therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and other developmental support services during their scheduled program day. This integrated approach allows families to access multiple essential services in one supportive environment, reducing the stress of traveling between providers, balancing demanding schedules, and managing exhausting after-school therapy appointments. By bringing care together under one roof, we help parents spend less time coordinating services and more time focusing on their child’s growth, well-being, and quality of life.

To ensure long-term impact and accessibility for families, Village Care Communities is built on a sustainable support model that includes health insurance reimbursement for eligible therapeutic services, private-pay childcare and extended care programs, Regional Center partnerships and eligible service authorizations, as well as grants, philanthropy, and community partnerships. This structure helps us continue expanding access to quality care and support for families in need.

Village Care Communities is built to grow with purpose. Our long-term vision includes expanding beyond integrated autism support programs into supportive services for adults on the autism spectrum, including structured assisted living environments that promote independence, dignity, life skills, and community belonging. As we grow, our goal is to build a nationwide Village Care Communities network that provides a trusted continuum of care and support for families across the country.

Village Care Communities was created from one mother’s real life experience navigating the overwhelming world of raising a child with autism.

After her son’s diagnosis, Adn Spencer’s life changed overnight. Suddenly, she was no longer just a mother she became an advocate, scheduler, therapist coordinator, researcher, and the constant voice for a child who could not yet fully speak for himself.

Like many special needs parents, her days were filled with endless appointments, long waitlists, difficult phone calls, insurance battles, and exhausting drives from one therapy provider to another. Physical therapy. Occupational therapy. Speech therapy. ABA services. Every week became a constant cycle of trying to piece together the care her son needed while still managing work, family responsibilities, and everyday life.

She knows firsthand the emotional exhaustion families carry while trying to navigate school systems, advocate for IEP support, fight for services, and search for safe, trustworthy care for their children. She also understands the heartbreak of feeling misunderstood and alone during one of the most vulnerable journeys a parent can face.

In the middle of that experience, Adn realized something important, families should not have to struggle this hard just to find compassionate, quality support for their children.

She envisioned a place where children with autism and developmental needs could receive meaningful care, therapeutic support, and structured programming in one safe and nurturing environment. A place where parents felt understood instead of judged. Supported instead of overwhelmed. A place where families could finally feel like they had a village beside them.

That vision became "Village Care Communities - A Village That Cares".

Built from lived experience and genuine compassion, Village Care Communities was created to support not only children, but the families who love and care for them every single day. Every part of the program is designed with empathy, understanding, and the belief that no family should ever feel alone in this journey.

Our vision is to create a strong network of families, caregivers, professionals and advocates who work together to uplift children and strengthen the community around them.

Through our non profit initiatives, we strive too increase accessibility to care through scholarships, parent support programs, community partnerships, and family centered resources. We are committed to building inclusive spaces where children can thrive and families can find encouragement, relief, and hope.
